Welcome to The Dearne Big Band

A classic 1940’s style band who play a variety of big band pieces from the Glenn Miller standards to more modern arrangements.

We consist of a typical line up of 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, 5 saxophones, a rhythm section and vocals. Playing great music by the best of the classic big bands (Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Ted Heath), we are guaranteed to give you a night of great entertainment. Our vocals include Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, Ella Fitzgerald and many other greats.

We are available to book for all kinds of events and our programme can be tailored to suit individual requirements ranging from: weddings, public and private functions, corporate events, dinner dances, in fact to audiences anywhere that appreciate a good band.

For interested musicians in the Barnsley area the band rehearses on a Thursday evening from 7:30pm to 9:30pm in the Methodist Chapel, Barnsley Road, Darfield.
